Extra filming day/ correcting continuity errors

This evening, Mac 5 went back to the surgery to get a shot of Hannah walking out of the surgery door, and to correct our continuity error. We also managed to get a cut of Hannah C's itching hands to Hannah F's itching hands which we hope will show the similarities between our main character and her patient. We were originally going to use this as a match cut, however we think it might be more effective like this as it compliments what is said in our narrative voice over.

Final filming day: location 3

Today was our final day of filming for our actual two minute opening! It took just over an hour, but we think we have all the shots that we need. We followed our storyboard and used the underwater camera, so we now have a wide range of interesting shots to use.

We filmed these final scenes in the school toilets, and so we had to put a sign up, to make sure our filming wasn't disturbed. Poor Nicole just wanted to use the toilet...

All in all, we think today was really successful, and we don't think we will need to re-film. We are currently still in the process of editing, and we have yet to add our sound in, though we hope to have this done by mid-next week. We also have to design our production company logo, which we hope to get done by early next week too, so we can really shift our focus into editing!

Final filming day: storyboard

Tomorrow is our last day of collecting footage, we are filming the mirror/ bathroom scene which we hope will give a real indication of our characters insanity! We have very roughly storyboarded all of the shots we hope to get so the process is made easier, and we can knuckle down on the editing - our deadline is scarily close!

Third filming day: location 2

Today, our group filmed the scenes inside the psychiatrists room and we have now finished filming in 2/3 locations. The wonderful doctor gave us permission to use a proper room! Here is our desk, where most of the scene takes place:

We have one more location in mind which is in school, so we have easy access to it however we are yet to watch our footage back on the Mac so we are unsure if we will need to re-film anything as of yet.

Second filming day: location 1

Today Mac 5 spent our NYE finishing off the outdoor scenes, as we watched our footage from Monday back and we realized we wanted a few more shots.

First filming day: location 1

Today Mac 5 went out and did a bit of filming, with our main actress Hannah, for the outdoor bits when Hannah leaves the office.

 

We probably got more shots than we needed, and the filming took far longer than we intended but it was definitely worth it because we now have a range of shots at different angles which we can choose from.

We also liked the idea of following Hannah using a dolly/tracking shot, so our DIY genius Rhianne built this new contraption using some spare wheels and the lid of a box, to try and produce a smoother shot. Here are some pictures of our 'tripod trailer' which was partially successful, we hope...

We are yet to film the bits of the opening in the office, however we may have access to a few clinical offices/ rooms which we could use. Here is a picture of our possible office location in a surgery:

First test filming day vlog!

Practice editing: ghost effect

This is one of the first test shots Mac 5 filmed and edited!

Rhianne found a great way to make our character look as though she is losing herself, by changing the opacity of the footage, and creating more than one figure of Hannah F following her on the screen.

We really like the almost ghostly look of the shot, and we think that it could be used to reflect the different layers of our characters personality.
